The Big Book Show aims to encourage grown-ups to give the gift of a book this Christmas and to help children and teenagers find some fantastic books for Christmas reading.At Charlie Byrne’s we think there’s no greater gift to give than that of an amazing book. Books are timeless, magical and open a whole new world for young readers. Reading books as a child is a magical experience as kids can truly engage with a book on another level to adults. With so many fantastic book options for children and teenagers these days, it can be tough to narrow down the very best and that’s where we come in!Inspired by our recent visit from Ryan Tubridy we have decided to host our first ever Big Book Show, like the Toy Show but full of books! Featuring fantastic readers aged from 7-17 years who will review and recommend some of this year’s best books. We will also have picture book recommendations, excellent bargain gift ideas and some truly unique present ideas available from our children’s section manager Ruth.This is sure to be an event not to be missed! Join us in our children’s section from 6-7:45pm Friday the 25th of November for this book extravaganza! Entry is free and suitable for children aged 6+. As we have a limited capacity in our children’s section, please try to arrive on time to avoid disappointment.
